Maintenance and repair of your stairlift
Generally, Stairlifts do not require a high level of maintenance and will normally run reliably for a number of years.
Inevitably, moving parts will eventually wear out and on rare occasions breakdowns can occur.
The range of models we install require different levels of maintenance, according to their design.
Maintenance checks include cleaning, lubrication of moving parts, routine checks of safety devices – all to ensure the stairlift is fit for continued use.
Prior to installation, we will advise you on the maintenance needs of the model you have purchased / rented during our initial survey.
Service contracts are available for most makes of machine whether installed by us or another company.

Breakdown
In some rare instances, an unexpected breakdown may occur. But don’t worry, 21st Century Stairlifts offer a swift breakdown service to get your stairlift functioning again as soon as possible.
Our aim is to call in at any location within 24 hours of the breakdown being reported, though usually we endeavour to visit and carry out the repair on the same day.
