Maintenance and repair of your stairlift
Generally, stairlifts do not require a high level of maintenance and will normally run reliably for many years.
Inevitably, though, moving parts will eventually wear out and on rare occasions breakdowns can occur.
The range of models we install require different levels of maintenance, according to their design.
Normal maintenance checks include cleaning, lubrication of moving parts, inspection of safety devices - all to ensure the stairlift is fit for continued use.
Prior to installation, we will advise you on the maintenance needs of the model you have chosen. In the case of rentals, maintenance is included in the rental charge so we will simply give advance notice of when we need to call.
Service contracts are available for most makes of machine whether installed by us or by others.

Breakdown
In some rare instances, an unexpected breakdown may occur. 21st Century Stairlifts offers a swift breakdown service to get your stairlift functioning again as soon as possible.
Our aim is to call in at any location within 24 hours of the breakdown being reported, and in most cases we will call the same day.
